About The Position
Job Title : MRI Technologist Job Specialty : MRI Technology Job Duration : 13 weeks with the possibility to extend Shift : Night - 4x10 - Monday to Thursday (8 : 00 PM - 6 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Prior education, training, and experience that provide the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
License : Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible. Must obtain advanced certification in MRI within one year of employment.
Certifications : Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.
Must-Have : Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science. Job Description : - Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient understanding and safety.
- Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy. - Operate MRI scanners and be proficient in automatic injections of MRI contrast, disc drives, gateways, PACS, and laser printers.
- Maintain active status with ARRT by accruing continuing education as needed. - Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters, sharing knowledge with fellow MRI technologists.
- Administer oral and IV contrast to patients according to protocols, establishing intravenous lines and following proper injection procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images accurately. - Ensure all charge information is accurate and verify patient identification according to policies.
- Perform tasks in a timely manner, maintain consistent workflow, and ensure the production of quality diagnostic images.
- Precept new employees and students, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. This role requires a professional with technical expertise in MRI technology and a commitment to patient care and safety.
