Barnabas is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for Hospice! Essential Duties as Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) : Planning, coordinating, documenting, and providing care for terminally ill patients Utilizing physician's orders and professional skills Develops and implements a hospice plan that meets each patient's specific needs and is in compliance with federal and state regulations as well as organization's policies and procedures Assessment of physical, nursing, psychological, spiritual, and environmental needs of the patient and family Develop, educate, implement, and serve as a consultant to medical professionals concerning hospice programs, palliative care, and pain management Responsible for identifying the need for other agency or community services and initiating appropriate referrals Reassessment of the patient's condition weekly, inform physician and other members of the IDG team of changes Supervise care given by the home health aide / homemaker to patients Qualifications as Registered Nurse (RN) : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of PA Experience as an RN with at least 1 year of acute care experience Dedicated to providing quality care Maintained CPR certification per policy Valid state driver's license and reliable mode of transportation Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
