Summary
The Production Order Coordinator coordinates the order distribution and fulfillment process. The position oversees the order tracking process and ensures orders are processed in accordance with the organization's customer service standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage production and order processing flow throughout the day for many initiatives and sales channels
- Ensure order priority is followed on the design floor to meet delivery and shipping deadlines
- Ensure all orders are properly processed and tracked through the ERP / WMS system
- Oversee Quality Control department to ensure SOP’s are being adhered to and issues are minimized
- Monitor speed and accuracy of designers to ensure everyone is tracking to performance metrics
- Communicate clearly to upper management any issues with inventory, order processing and workflow
- Work with the Marketing Department on special orders requiring expedited service or special handling
- Monitor and communicate out-of-stock inventory throughout the day
- Utilize WMS computer system to switch SKU's that are out of stock to approved substitute SKUs that are in stock
- Transfer orders between DC’s after verifying inventory is in stock at alternate location and communicating with that DC of pending transfer
- Utilize Shopify / Slack / Email to interact with our Customer Service team on inventory outages and requests for order changes
- Process changes to orders once customer service confers the customer’s request
- Help maintain employee scheduling and adequate coverage in the event of call outs.
- Work with Product Development on new arrangement training and prep for photoshoots
- Availability to work weekends and overtime is a must with advance notice
- All other reasonable duties assigned
