About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years License : NC or Compact license pending OK for submission;
required in hand at time of start Certifications : ACLS, BCLS, NIH (CCRN and PALS Preferred) Must-Have : Vents, IV Start, PA Lines, Telemetry, Travel nursing experience Job Description : Work in the ICU / CCU with a focus on medical and surgical intermediate and critical care level patients.
- Handle patient care using unit systems like Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.- Maintain a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 2-3, subject to fluctuation based on unit needs.
- Participate in a float rotation schedule and may be required to assist other units, such as Med Surg, during crisis needs.
- Comply with weekend requirements, working every other weekend.- Complete orientation involving 12 hours of unit orientation and hospital orientation during the first week.
- Wear navy blue or white scrubs, or a combination of both.- Pass EKG testing before starting.- Adhere to fatigue policy, working no more than 5 consecutive days or more than 60 hours in a week.
- Complete non-billable modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) pre-start and annually as part of online learning and in-person classes.
