Spearheaded by Visa’s Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office orchestrates high-impact, intricate, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution.

The Global AI & Data Innovation team is crafting the next generation of scalable and responsible AI, ML, and Data Innovations and products to address client and consumer problems.

We are a cross-functional team of data scientists, product managers, AI and data engineers, and program managers focused on generating value for the payment’s ecosystem.

Responsibilities :

• Build and optimize Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for text classification problems.
• Drive end-to-end Machine Learning projects, working closely with software engineers for model deployment.
• Develop a framework to automate the validation of document tagging.
• Fine-tune and deploy large deep-learning models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data tasks.

Essential Functions :

• Build AI / ML models to create metadata for documents to enhance discovery & relevancy.
• Conduct exploratory analysis to identify gaps, provide feedback, and innovate solutions to address them.
• Leverage NLP and semantic analysis to develop features for the metadata models.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership / site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications :

3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.

g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).

• Experience programming with Python or any other scripting language.
• Experience working in AI / ML projects ground up in enterprise environment.
• Proven experience with AI / ML implementation in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL & LLM, with experience in orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Practical experience in implementing AI projects, particularly in prompt engineering & RAG.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI.

Additional Information

Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements : This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 125,500.00 to 177,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
