About The Position
Job Title : Certified Operating Room Technician / Surgical Technician (CST) Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (11 : 00 AM - 11 : 30 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours for 3x12 shifts, 40 hours for 8 / 10 shifts Experience : A minimum of 2 years of operating room technical experience is required, with specific experience in liver / transplant procedures License : Not specified Certifications : NBSTSA / NCCT Recommended, BLS Required Must-Have : 2 years of experience in the operating room / surgical technology specialty- Candidates must have experience with organ transplantation procedures (e.
g., putting organs back in the new patient)- Nicotine-free, as this is a smoke-free facility- Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start- Completion of time-sensitive modules prior to starting the assignment Job Description : Work within the operating room, primarily focused on liver transplant cases.
- Participate in other surgical procedures when a transplant is not occurring.- Available for on-call duties as needed (specific details to be provided during the interview).
- Potential to float within the facility to meet staffing needs.- Must be flexible with weekend shifts and additional scheduling requirements as discussed with the manager.
- Confirm any requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission; late additions may not be approved.- Participate in a 16-hour non-billable orientation.
- Complete EKG and Pharmacology tests during orientation with study materials provided (two attempts allowed for each, with no remediation for re-testing).
- Maintain compliance with COVID-19 and Flu vaccine requirements, barring approved exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
- Adhere to facility compliance, including submission of two references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director.
