Holiday rotation throughout the year. Unit Specific InformationNumber of Beds 37 beds including a 10 bed section for acuity adaptable patients including chronic trach / ventilator care, dialysis, other elevated acuity patients.
Type of staff : Day Shift 1 charge / 12-13 RN / 3-4 patient care associate (PCA) and a HUC. Night Shift 1 charge / 12-13 RN / 3-4 PCA and a HUC.
Staffing may vary to patient acuity levels.Patient Ratios 1 : 3 RN patient ratio based on acuity. May have one assignment of 1 : 2 (for ICU level patients) or may have an assignment of 1 : 4 if patient acuity is low.
Type of equipment Ventilators, bipap, cpap, high-flow and salter canula O2 delivery devices. All patients are on wall mounted Phillips cardiac monitors.
End tidal CO2 monitors maybe be used for specific patient requirements. Alaris IV pumps, vocera communication devices are used.
Virtual sitter and Marti language devices are utilized.Frequently used medicated IV drips in MPCU (include but are not limited to) Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Levophed, Precedex, Cardene, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine.
