Lab Technician
Laboratory Technician
6 month contract role
Shift : 8am-5pm, M-F (overtime and weekends may be required)
Pay : $27-$30 / hr
Responsibilities :
- Aseptically fill SLTDs
- Aseptically prepare cell culture media, reagents, and buffers
- Prepare assay samples and reagents for testing
- Prepare sterile cell culture media
- Routine maintenance of equipment (e.g. daily checks, periodic cleaning)
- Cryopreserve cell samples and use controlled rate freezer (CRF)
- Manage and maintain inventory of laboratory reagents and materials, including samples
- Cell line maintenance (culturing and passaging primary cells, immortalized cells)
- Perform routine cell counts and viability checks using cell counter
- Adhere to GMP and GDP requirements, aiding in quality records as required.
- Assist in process improvement experiments across manufacturing and PD environments.
Requirements
- Able to gown in and out of a cleanroom
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
- Experience making sterile cell culture media
- Experience working in a GLP laboratory environment
- Able to follow instructions to perform laboratory duties
- Availability to support late shift or weekend work
- Able to carry 40 lbs
