Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the month end closing entries.
- Responsible for all Bank Reconciliations.
- Together with the Staff Accountant prepare and review the monthly general ledger reconciliations for CRI and Outreach.
- Supervise Accounts Payable staff.
- Check AP batches.
- Responsible for the upload of Escrow deposits on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of the OP-Plan, COR and the Cost Reports and submit for review.
- Review the recording of all fixed assets and their applicable depreciation.
- Assist with the year end audit.
- Review the monthly payroll reconciliations for both companies and submit for review.
- Assist with the preparation and documentation of Finance Dept. operating procedures.
- Responsible for process improvement within the Finance Dept, automating as many manual processes as possible.
- Responsible for tying the monthly attendance to the revenue entry and creating a MIP upload.
- Responsible for ensuring the Individuals' Funds audits are up to date.
- Assist the CFO with any state reporting requirements other than those mentioned in #5 above including external audit requests.
- Prepare timely and accurate month end reports including the bank recs and any other report as assigned.
- Supervise Staff Accountants.
- Responsible for Consultants' contracts.
- Any otherjob requirements as needed.
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related area within the Financial field. 5 years' experience in the accounting field and 5 years supervisory experience or 10 years ofan equivalent required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience creating and utilizing various spreadsheets. Knowledge of MIP Accounting software a plus.
Personal : Must possess strong analytical skills and be able to take initiative when given a project. Must be highly confidential when dealing with various aspects of the position based on the subject matter.
