Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers to support elementary and middle school students in Cary, NC. This role requires delivering specialized instructional services to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring their academic success and social development.

Openings include :

3 Elementary Special Education teaching positions
2 Middle School Special Education teaching positions

These assignments are immediate-start and extend through the end of the school year, filling in for maternity leaves beginning this week or next. Teachers should have experience adapting curriculum and creating individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to students unique learning challenges

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive practices

Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior

Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and educational professionals

Implement behavioral management strategies and accommodations

Desired Qualifications :

Valid Special Education teaching certification

Experience working with elementary and / or middle school students

Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices

Ability to develop and implement IEPs

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Location : Cary, North Carolina

Type : Contract, ASAP through end of school year
