Job Description : Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team for the remainder of the school year in Apple Valley, CA.
As a COTA, you will work collaboratively with our team of professionals to support students' educational and functional needs.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as prescribed by the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional abilities and needs.
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
