Athletic Trainer needed for an ongoing per-diem contract opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Torrance, CA.

This is an urgent care clinic that specializes in occupational health (treating work and non-work related illnesses and injuries for employees).

You will help prevent injuries through the use of devices and education, recognize and evaluate injuries, provide emergency care, and rehabilitate injured employees.

Schedule will be as-needed to cover for when full-time staff need time off of work.

Top Skills You Should Possess :

• Experience as an Athletic Trainer in an occupational medicine setting
• Great communication skills as demonstrated through strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Mobility, strength, visual, and auditory acuity adequate for immediate response to patient's needs
• Ability to work without direct supervision

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Conduct Functional Capacity Exams (FCEs) and Physical Abilities Tests (PATs)
• Prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation for work and non-work related illnesses and injuries
• Assess risk of injury, perform ergonomic evaluation and coaching, self-care implementation, and overall wellness promotion
• Develop treatment and exercise plans with periodic re-evaluation of plans to ensure maximum patient benefit
• Proactively create a culture of personal health and responsibility through the development, distribution, delivery, and posting of educational materials and workshops
• Work alongside the health and safety team to review and / or develop new occupational medical protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Document patient treatment (ensure the security of sensitive records)

What You Need to Bring to the Table :

• Flexible schedule to work as-needed : typically will be scheduled between Monday and Friday, 7 : 00am to 4 : 00pm and Saturdays 7 : 00am to 1 : 00pm
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Athletic Training
• BOC Certified and State Athletic Training Licensure
• Current BLS / CPR
• Reliable with a positive, can-do attitude
