About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 19 : 00-07 : 00 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : Positive attitude, teamwork, problem-solving skills Job Description : Work in a PCU with 12 beds and a patient ratio of 4 : 1.
- Collaborate with unit secretaries and a tech available for the unit.- Operate equipment such as GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Utilize the Meditech documentation system.- Adhere to a schedule requiring work every other weekend and participation in a floating rotation.
- Focus on patient experience by using AIDET, completing communication boards, and providing medication teaching.- Provide post-cath care including the use of TR bands.
- Implement advanced pulmonary treatments and medication titration.- Wear charcoal gray scrubs as part of the required uniform.
- Engage with a team recognized for outstanding awards and equipped with new technology.
