MAJOR FUNCTION :
Provides nursing services to patients requiring care. Ability to assess the physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients.
Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care based on those assessments. Capable of delegating appropriate tasks and supervising ancillary staff.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education & Experience :
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current licensure in the State of New Jersey as required by law.
You must be enrolled within six months of hire or rehire in a CCNE or NLNAC accredited BSN or MSN program (or foreign equivalent) with a graduation date that falls on or before the employee’s third employment anniversary dateinto a nursing position. *
- BSN or MSN graduates preferred.
- Hired on or before June 1, 2013 - IMC
- Hired on or before August 4, 2015 IMCW
- Previous experience in psychiatry.
- Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing preferable, but not essential.
Certification / Licensure :
- Current registration with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Welle certification required (will train).
- BLS required.
- National Certification required within 3 years of hire.
- American Heart Association CPR required.
Knowledge & Skills :
Demonstrates clinical knowledge, nursing competence, basic leadership skills and decision-making ability.
