Server / Bartender Job Description :
Our restaurant is looking for server / bartender candidates with remarkable organizational abilities and engaging people skills.
To become a bartender, the candidate must be trained as a server first and work floor shifts prior to being accepted on the bar schedule.
The right person for this job should be able to multitask food and beverage orders. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, which is why we are looking for service oriented team members who will treat our guests and other team mates with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude.
The responsibilities of a server / bartender in our restaurant are to greet guests, occasionally help seat them, help them with menu recommendations, take and deliver orders, make and serve alcoholic beverages, clear and clean bar / tables.
All of our servers / bartenders are also responsible for handling their cash and credit card transactions.
To help our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience, a good bartender / server should be able to ensure that our guests are fully satisfied by being friendly, courteous, accommodating, reliable and punctual.
A suitable candidate for the job should also be a problem-solver and a team player. The tip pool pay out percentage is one of the lowest in the area at 2%.
The average tip pool pay out from servers in this general area is a minimum average of 3.5+%. All Tip pool proceeds go to bartenders.
Bartenders are required to go through server training and wait tables before being moved in to the bar. You must have a very clear knowledge of the menu because you serve a great deal of food at the bar.
Our bartenders are the best representation of exceptional servers on our staff that have earned the opportunity to bartend.
Responsibilities of a Server / Bartender :
- Occasionally greeting, seating, and escorting guests.
- Providing educated menu recommendations and additional information.
- Upselling additional products when appropriate.
- Checking ID's to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages.
- Taking orders using software, order slips.
- Communicating order details to the management / kitchen staff.
- Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion.
- Delivering checks and collecting bill payments in a timely fashion
- Cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the bar and associated tables and tableware.
- Providing exceptional customer experience.
Server / Bartender Job Requirements :
- Must have prior experience as a bartender / server.
- Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
- Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
- Must be flexible and ready to work in shifts.
- Must carry at least a high school diploma.
- Must be TABC and Tarrant County Foodhandler Certified
