Job Description :
The Sr. Specialist, Software Systems / Security engineer is primarily responsible for the design and development of software test for a variety of embedded high-assurance software applications.
A Secret Clearance is required for this position.
Essential Functions :
- Responsible for research, design, and development of computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development.
- Participates in all phases of the development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test.
- Applies computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles.
- Works closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.
- Develops test procedures, programs, and related documentation.
- Contributes to determining, estimating, and validating the cost and scope of efforts to ensure product meets program cost, schedule, and technical constraints.
- Be a part of an agile multidisciplinary development team
The sucessful candidate will have he following background :
- Embedded systems software engineering
- Embedded or applications developer
- System infrastructure development; scripting, automation, data visualization & dashboarding
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Security Clearance required
Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous experience using C or C++ in embedded products
- Previous experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Ability to pick up new software, frameworks and APIs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent software design, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Experience with or desire to learn Linux
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Previous experience using python
- Experience with developing software monitoring and embedded software
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Perforce), development tools (Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.), and agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of TCP / IP network fundamentals is a plus
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
