We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Clinical Services to lead and oversee our healthcare organization's clinical operations.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance clinical services.

Responsibilities :

  • Serves as a member of Senior Management with the Clinical Team and works collaboratively to ensure all clinical operations are integrated and functioning well.
  • Developing and monitoring the organization's strategic plan including clinical programs and implementation.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of excellent clinical services.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to guide and support the clinical team in providing comprehensive care.
  • Supervise, train, and coach MedElite Program Directors to achieve their established goals.
  • Assist with program development as well as ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the Facility in defining the scope and characteristics of all healthcare care services provided at the Facility.
  • Developing and amending medical policies including emergency treatment procedures.
  • Establishing mechanisms for communication with medical staff including but not limited to meeting schedules.
  • Advising the Facility's Administrator with respect to medical and related problems / needs.
  • Establishing procedures for medical matters, including but not limited to physician visits, medical records, consultants and rehabilitation.
  • Scheduling and supervising the rendering of the physician services provided to patients; Identifying appropriate providers of medical services needed by residents.
  • Assisting in the development of Medical Staff By-laws.
  • Assisting the Facility in the development and enforcement of quality controls
  • Coordinating the review, prior to granting professional privileges, or association of any physician, dentist, podiatrist, or allied health professional providing services at the Facility.
  • Gathering information concerning individual physicians, dentists, podiatrists, and other allied health professionals within their credentials file maintained by the Facility.
  • Assuring that each patient's responsible physician attends to the patient's medical needs, participates in care planning, follows the schedule of visits, and complies with Facility policies.
  • Taking necessary corrective measures when a physician fails to provide services that meet generally accepted standards of practice.
  • Periodically monitoring medication utilization and educating physicians regarding appropriate pharmaceutical use.
  • Assisting in the arrangement for continuous physician coverage to handle medical emergencies.
  • Assisting in the of development of resident-transfer procedures for patients
  • Participating in managing the environment by reviewing and evaluating incident reports or summaries of incident reports, identifying hazards to health and safety, and making recommendations to the Facility Administration.
  • Responsible for improving the performance of medical services as an integral part of performance improvement activities.
  • Travel Required : 15% as required.

Qualifications :

  • Licensed MD or DO
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Preferably a Geriatrics fellowship or substantial experience in geriatric medicine.
  • Proven leadership experience in healthcare settings for a minimum of at least 3 years.
  • Extensive experience in Nursing Home (SNF) settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of guidelines and implementation of Value-Based Programs.
  • Hold and maintain a currently valid Drug Enforcement Agency ("DEA") certification.
  • Be a provider in good standing under the Medicare and Medicaid Programs.

Salary : $250,000 - $300,000 per year
