Copywriter Intern

Who we're looking for :

You are a self-starter with an eagerness to learn. You have a strong voice and are looking for a chance to hone your craft.

You have some experience writing in advertising whether it be through previous internships or through student / portfolio work.

This internship is an opportunity to understand copywriting from a holistic perspective. The position will include short-term, mid-term and long-term projects.

Over the course of the internship, you will report directly to the Senior Copywriter and will have exposure to other team members on a day-to-day basis.

This role is in-person, hourly pay, with a flexible schedule relevant to your commitments.

Responsibilities :

• Develop compelling copy for various clients including websites, social media, emails, print, commercial, etc.
• Adapt your writing style to match the tonality and relevant needs of each client.
• Conduct research to understand target audiences, industry trends, competitor content and specific motifs to create relevant and engaging creative.
• Collaborate across departments including Design, Media, Pr and Social to ensure consistency in messaging.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining content for internal and external use.

• Avid writer with strong skills across different mediums.
• Creative thinker and original doer when it comes to bringing ideas to life.
• Live and thrive in the details.
• Strong researcher for in-depth content creation.
• Good communicator, both written and verbal.
• Adaptable to different tasks, timelines, and feedback.
• Comfortable with critique and constructive criticism in the spirit of growth and development.
• Have a basic understanding of different marketing concepts / channel needs.
• Must have clips or writing samples bonus points for a portfolio site
