POSITION : Short Notice Laundry Aide
SALARY : $20.00 per hour
REPORTS TO : Maintenance Supervisor
LOCATION : Colville Tribal Convalescent Center
Basic Function : Perform the day-to-day activities of the laundry department in accordance with the current federal, state, local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility.
Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Maintain and adequate supply of linen at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
Qualifications
Education and Training :
Requires a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Requires knowledge of long term care setting and laundry practices.
- Requires ability to read and write.
- Requires ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Requires ability to push, pull, move, and / or lift a minimum of 35 pounds to a minimum height of 2 feet as well as the ability to push, pull, move, and / or carry said weight a minimum of 15 feet.
- Requires ability to work independently.
- Requires successful clearance of a Criminal History background inquiry that indicates no felony or convictions on the DSHS Secretary's list.
