Employment Type : Travel Nurse Contract

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 40

Nursing Shift : 10-hour day shifts (6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM), 4 shifts per week

On-Call : Required (one weeknight per week and one weekend every 6 weeks)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1

Scrubs : Provided

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860-$2000

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown or Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

BLS certification (AHA) required

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Flexibility with scheduling and on-call requirements

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to post-cardiac surgery and stepdown patients

Monitor and assess patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic medical records (Meditech)

Participate in scheduled on-call rotations

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to unit policies

Promote a positive, teamwork-focused work environment
