The Financial Analyst reports directly to the Global Sourcing / Fiber Supply Controller assisting in the preparation of communications and presentations for senior management.
This includes key roles in the development of Strategic Plans, Forecasts, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Budgets. The position also acts as key financial counsel to the Global Sourcing Directors.
Although the position does not have direct reports, the Financial Analyst does have the responsibility for the onboarding, oversight and the development of finance interns.
The Job You Will Perform :
- Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly reports on major commodity cost movements and commodity forecasts
- Work with various business finance leads to ensure data integrity and alignment
- Lead role for coordinating development of materials standard prices for all commodities
- Work with business units to ensure alignment with Global Sourcing reporting
- Lead communication efforts with specific business groups as needed to ensure common understanding of co-owned initiatives, and potential commodity impacts
- Work with Procurement VP, Directors, and managers on the development of the Procurement Strategic Plan, the assembly of corporate planning assumptions, and historical trend analysis
- Develop and update executive presentations to summarize quarterly results, key commodity movements, and market drivers
- Work with international regions to gather information for quarterly reviews, strategic plan, and annual budgets
- Primary liaison with Corporate Accounts Payable on vendor management issues, working capital initiatives, and joint projects
- Track quarterly days payable outstanding performance and work with department leads to improve working capital
- Track and report progress against Global Sourcing Initiatives
- Provide financial support to the Energy, Raw Materials, and MRO buyers as needed in analyzing materials markets, vendors, and specific initiative impacts
- Lead preparation of S&A budgets and overhead allocation models for the Global Sourcing group
- Analyze spend data as necessary to ensure data integrity
- Communicate to field locations to identify data issues, errors, and areas of opportunity to improve reporting
- Assist with ad hoc data analytics and reporting as required by the Procurement Controller
The Skills You Will Bring :
- 3-5 years of applicable experience preferred
- BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, BW, Power BI
- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills
- Process-oriented with great attention to detail
- Ability to create and deliver business presentations using MS PowerPoint
- Candidate must be comfortable navigating systems and utilizing data to enhance business understanding
