This is a Certified Medical Assistant position for our Dermatology medical office. Seeking qualified individual with talent, dedication and ability to grow.

Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA)
- HIPAA awareness and compliance
- Proficiency with Electronic Health / Medical Record (EHR / EMR) systems
- Proficiency with Health Insurance, Prior-Authorizations and Prescription processes
- Work experience with specialist medical practices, preferably in Dermatology
- Caring and positive attitude towards Patients
- Integrity, reliability, timeliness and strong work ethics
- Ability to learn quickly and function in accordance to practice procedures
- Maintaining organized work environment
- Professional conduct and appearance
Tasks and duties
- Assisting doctor during examinations and surgeries
- Updating and maintaining Patient records (EHR, EMR)
- Pre and Post Surgery Care (Consent, Dressing Change, Suture Removal, etc.)
- Processing of Prescriptions, Refills, and Prior-Authorizations
- Sending / receiving reports & notifications to Patients and primary care physicians
- Promptly, accurately and reliably communicate with Patients
- Maintenance of examination rooms and instruments
- Inventory of medical supplies
Compensation depends on candidate's qualifications and experience.
Part-time employment may also be considered.
