To manage the company’s unprecedented growth and maintain our quality standards, we are looking for a Sales Engineer.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The selected candidate will be expected to perform a variety of sales functions to contribute to the Young & Bertke Sales Team including but not limited to :
- Prospect, develop, and close new business with new and existing customers.
- Regularly travel to perform customer consultations to determine needs and solutions and obtain detailed information of estimates and proposals.
- Meet with customers in person and virtually sell Y&B systems and solutions.
- Follow-up on leads provided by marketing and other internal departments.
- Contact new and existing customers to present / sell Y&B products, systems, and solutions.
- Analyze existing customer systems to make recommendations on potential for improvement in efficiency, capacity, and / or maintenance.
- Review, compile, and evaluate customer specifications relative to design requirements.
- Work with all relevant stakeholders to obtain and analyze engineering requirements relative to new projects.
- Work with the stakeholders and Engineers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements.
- Submittal of proposal and costing to the General Manager.
- Provide feedback for potential new product / service offerings.
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.
- Follow equipment orders, ensure pertinent project details are passed to the Project Team.
- Familiarity with ductwork, airflow, pollution and dust collection equipment, fans and blowers, and some electrical and industrial controls.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by management to ensure the effective utilization of the company’s resources and to ensure customer satisfaction.
JOB REQUIREMENT
BS or BA with five (5) years or greater direct industry Sales and or Engineering experience or other closely related, i.e.
HVAC, industry experience.
- Familiarity with CRM and ERP software and utilize CRM for all prospecting and customer activities
