We are looking for a skilled and motivated Attorney to join our reputable mid-sized law firm in Clayton, Missouri. This position focuses on education law and litigation, requiring a proactive individual with a passion for addressing complex legal challenges faced by schools, colleges, and universities. Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to educational institutions on matters including employment issues, student discipline, and special education.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation and client advisory.
  • Draft and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on litigation strategies and case management.
  • Respond to administrative agency complaints and manage related filings.
  • Deliver training sessions and development programs for clients.
  • Develop and present well-reasoned arguments in written and oral form.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively to ensure high-quality legal services.
  • Engage in problem-solving for day-to-day issues faced by public and private educational institutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and team members to foster strong working relationships.
  • Active attorney license in Missouri; additional licensure in other states is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal practice, preferably in education law, employment law, or public sector law.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills to address complex legal issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present well-reasoned legal arguments.
  • Proven interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong work ethic and delivering quality results.
