About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Labor and Delivery Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a high acuity labor unit License : Must have an active RN license Certifications : Experience with EPIC charting system required Must-Have : - Flexibility to float between units and potentially nearby hospitals- Ability to work every other weekend- Availability for on-call shifts as required- Willingness to work three out of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Job Description : Provide high-quality nursing care in a labor and delivery unit- Float as needed to high acuity antepartum and postpartum units- Maintain an expected staff-to-patient ratio of 1 : 1 or 1 : 3 couplets- Attend 40 hours of non-billable orientation- Adhere to the hospital's scrub color policy : any color for general duties, provided scrubs for OR / L&D- Ensure all work complies with hospital guidelines and regulations- Effectively use communication devices provided by the hospital when required
