Job Description :

The Systems Engineer I is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the complex systems that support the organization's technology infrastructure.

This role requires a deep understanding of system architecture and integration, ensuring that all components-hardware, software, and system architecture-function cohesively to meet business needs.

The Systems Engineer will work collaboratively across departments, leading projects from initial concept through deployment and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages and monitors all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with the company guidelines or SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
  • Design the new systems by fully understanding their objectives.
  • Provide system administration to storage arrays, maintaining firmware, capacity planning, snap shots, replication, and volume creation.
  • Coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation of the best output.
  • Document plans according to engineering requirements for systems or system element design and acquisition.
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Builds work processes, optimization methods, and provides risk management to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks and identify possible solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues when they are assigned or escalated.
  • Collaborate with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments.
  • Keep abreast of current developments in technology to assist management in assessing the future direction of infrastructure technology.
  • Escalate issues to management staff where needed, provide notification to appropriate personnel of system operational problems.
  • Update and maintain electronic records with accurate data.
  • On-call and evening or weekend ours will be required as needed for support an maintenance issues.
  • Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement.
  • Represent high level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team.
  • Promote cooperation within the team and between teams.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as may be assigned relevant to the position.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum experience of 3-5 years with computer systems support, server installation and support, network administration, network installation and configuration.
  • Associate of bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or related field or 5 years' experience in related field required .
  • Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP / IP).
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience and thorough understanding of Active Directory, Windows Servers and Hyper V
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity systems
  • Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops, Laptops, and Servers
  • Experience racking servers and knowledge of IDF / MDF setup required
  • Experience with virtual servers using Microsoft Hyper-V preferred
  • Experience with WMI / SNMP monitoring and packet capture tools such as Manage Engine and Wireshark preferred
  • Experience with VEEAM Backup Solutions ( preferred but not required)
  • Strong organization, time management, problem solving, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Able to troubleshoot problems quickly and thoroughly, make decisions under pressure, and maintain the ability to be tactful in all situations
  • Effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management
  • Ability to present complex technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of work-related information
  • Exhibit good work habits and willingness to work extended hours to complete a job when required to meet deadlines
