About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Cardiac Telemetry Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night - 12x4 - 7 PM - 7 AM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required License : Not required for submission Certifications : BLS Must-Have : - Experience with post-op Cardiovascular Surgery patients is highly recommended - Level I Trauma Experience - Ability to interpret common rhythms - Ability to maintain sterile field Job Description : - Perform nursing duties in the Cardiac Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 3 or 1 : 4.
- Participate in a SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes.- Titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
- Collaborate with off-unit tele techs and interpret telemetry readings using GE tele packs and monitors.- Work alongside a resource / charge nurse who ideally does not take patients.
- Coordinate with a patient care technician group (1 PCT for 16 beds) and manage CPAP, BiPAP, and HFNC equipment as necessary.
- Participate in a 2-day unit-specific orientation; scrubs in navy blue required but not provided.- Self-schedule shifts, balanced with a scheduler, with required weekend and holiday shifts.
- Be prepared for floating to all other applicable areas as required.
