Salary Range : $45.4100 - $69.8500 / hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
The Clinic Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing services to patients in an outpatient setting.
- This role performs nursing assessments in providing direct and indirect patient care, provides health advice, and patient and family education, and may handle phone triage.
- Provides detailed evaluation of patient symptoms to determine the urgency of the situation, facilitates next steps in patient care, and provides medical advice on treating symptoms.
- Utilizes the nursing process based on research and evidence-based outcomes to meet patient care needs.
- Administers medications, collects specimens, and performs nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
- Documents all nursing services provided.
- Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure the delivery of quality patient care when facing ethical or legal issues.
- Facilitates appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
- Enhances the patient experience.
- Provides services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and professional standards, including the California Nurse Practice Act.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required :
- Successful completion of a nursing program
- Basic keyboarding skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Preferred :
- One (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferably in an ambulatory care setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Knowledge of registration and order entry systems
- Knowledge of patient scheduling insurance verification and authorization.
- Diabetes education experience is preferred
License Required
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing in the State of California.
Certifications Required
- Current BLS Certification
