This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter with defense litigation experience who has a powerful motivation to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the firm.

The associate will gain experience with and exposure to a range of practice areas including general liability insurance and professional liability insurance claims.

The PositionQualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey
• Admission in New York a plus
• 2+ years of experience with insurance defense litigation (general liability or personal injury defense experience or professional liability defense or construction defense)
• Some experience with motion practice, report writing, discovery and depositions preferred
• Trial and trial preparation experience is a plus
• Superior written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
