As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's EDGE API organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL.

The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.

Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

As a Software Engineer Principal, you will provide lower level architectural & technical guidance around APIs during development and deployment, API governance, and oversight around non-discretionary effort such as vulnerability management, etc.

for EDGE / SSE application. You will be responsible for providing governance for our EDGE APIs, working with new initiatives as well as making sure they are compliant.

You will also be responsible for serving as a communication liaison, where you will work various people and pull them together to achieve a specific goal.

Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking candidates who have experience with Java based software development. Preferred candidates will be experienced in the following :

OCP / Kubernetes

Spring boot / Spring framework

Java

Microservices

Micron

Apigee

OAuth

Gradle

Candidates should also be strong collaborators, as well as be able to drive engagement and execute.

Job Description

  • Aligns business strategy with software solutions.
  • Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs. Oversees technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Leads complex problem solving.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
  • Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
