Serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the Texas A&M University School of Nursing. Works under the supervision of a Master’s or Doctorally prepared nursing faculty member primarily in the clinical setting.
Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical learning experiences.

Schedule : This is a part-time position.
Salary : Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education :
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Required Experience :
At least one year experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care / hospital setting.
Required Licenses and Certifications :
Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other.
Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
Preferred Experience :
Three years of experience as Registered Nurse with recent or current experience in acute care areas including medical-surgical, critical care, pediatrics, or OB
Responsibilities :
Supervision of Students : Functions in the role of clinical supervisor. Assisting faculty with the supervision of students’ skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting.
Clinical Setting : Consults with a nursing faculty member in clinical settings. Occasional classroom assistance may be requested for activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
