Electrical Engineering researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
Responsibilities may include : Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Your Responsibilities :
- Ensure on-time delivery of work and projects assigned with high-quality output.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and our transformer factories across the US and Canada for assigned projects.
- Visit factories based on project requirements.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Collect details of projects and make multiple design trials for standardization.
- Coach and train entry-level engineers / interns.

Your Background :
- BE / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-10 years of experience in the transformer industry, preferably in distribution transformers up to 69kV Class.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical design and manufacturing processes of 3-phase and single-phase oil-filled distribution transformers.
- Familiarity with IEEE / DOE standards.
- Knowledge of pad-mounted transformers, wound core transformers, design optimization techniques, and cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Programming skills (SQL / Power BI) are a plus.
- AutoCAD and Cero experience are a plus.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
