Shifts : 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm
Days : Rotating (Week 1 Monday thru Friday, Week 2 3weekdays + Saturday & Sunday)
Weekends : Rotating Weekends

Compensation : $31,200 annually *(full time) - $15 / hour
Your Role in the Company
The primary purpose of your job positionis to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Departmentin accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, andregulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administratorand / or the Director of Laundry Services, to assure that our facility is maintainedin a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and that an adequate supply of linen ison hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
Elements of the Position
Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.
Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services whenperforming routine assignments in resident living areas.
Attend and participate in in-service educational classes,on-the-job training programs, etc., as scheduled or as directed.
Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants,and solutions used in the work area. Refer to material safety data sheets MSDSswhen necessary.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplieswhen handling infectious materials.
Ensure that an adequate supply of laundry / linen supplies ismaintained in laundry / linen closets to meet the daily needs of the residents.
Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, i.e., spills,excess laundry carts, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
Clean work / supply carts, equipment, etc., asnecessary / directed.
Collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry, linen, garments,etc., and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.
Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate thoseitems that require special stain removal / treatment.
Sort, count, and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc.,in accordance with established procedures.
Press / iron garments as instructed.
Fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen,garments, etc., to residents daily and / or as instructed.
Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp / wetmopping. Note : Assure that appropriate caution / safety signs are properlyset up prior to performing such duties.
Keep walls and ceilings clean by washing, wiping, dusting,spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
Remove dirt dust, grease, film, etc., from equipment or floorsurfaces, using roper cleaning / disinfecting solutions.
Working Conditions
May be subject to the handling of andexposure to hazardous chemicals.
Education
Must possess, as a minimum, an 8th gradeeducation.
Experience
None required. On-the-job trainingprovided.
Physical andSensory Requirements
Must be able to speak and write theEnglish language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to push, pull, move and / orlift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and beable to push, pull, move, and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50feet.
