Salary : Up to $18 Hourly
We are looking for a sharp and motivated Authorization & Eligibility Specialist to join our team. This role requires a candidate that is passionate about working on a care team prioritizing quality care services to patients and providing support to the team. The right candidate will have an attention to detail mindset while being caring and compassionate.
Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :
- Stay current and follow up on MCO admissions, including obtaining required documentation and authorizations needed.
- Stay current and follow up on eligibility reports, confirming coverage, co-pays and out-of-pocket maximums for admissions.
- Complete ongoing MCO authorization requests, including the corresponding follow ups and data entry.
- Complete ongoing eligibility reviews, including the required tracking and updates.
- Assist with the upcoming implementation of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for the home health program, confirming services provided according to the patient's authorization.
- Other duties as assigned and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
Job Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred .Knowledge of health insurance concepts required. Experience in a healthcare environment a plus!Proficient computer skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Proficient and accurate data entry skills.Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and make sound judgements.Prolonged sitting. Repetitive motion (data entry), and phone contact. Ability to remain patient during long periods of telephonic hold times.Benefits :
