Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Development Officer to lead our real estate development company to new heights.
The Chief Development Officer will spearhead the company's development projects, identify new opportunities, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of real estate projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
2. Identify and evaluate new development opportunities, including land acquisition, partnerships, and investment prospects, to drive business growth.
3. Oversee the financial analysis and feasibility studies of potential development projects, working closely with the finance and investment teams to assess risk and return on investment.
4. Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, landowners, local authorities, and community groups, to facilitate project approvals and community engagement.
5. Provide leadership and direction to the development team, including project managers, architects, engineers, and other professionals involved in real estate development projects.
6. Stay informed about market trends, zoning regulations, and industry best practices to inform development strategies and mitigate potential risks.
7. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement overall company strategy, goals, and objectives, ensuring that the development function supports the company's long-term success.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, urban planning, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of at least ten years in a senior leadership role within the real estate development industry, focusing on project development and management.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of real estate finance, investment analysis, and project pro forma modeling.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing development team.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate development regulations, land use policies, and market dynamics.
