Intermediate Network Engineer – MSM Technology

We are seeking an Intermediate Network Engineer to support a federal customer. In this role you will :

  • Provide network architectural design, modeling, engineering, implementation, sustainment, migration, technical refresh, and lifecycle services for the DISA Data Center and Cloud enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Design solutions using DoD and industry best practices, responsible for service transition to operations per ITIL Framework.
  • Support configuration and maintenance of DISA-hosted Application Delivery Controllers including F5 BIG-IP LTM, GTM, APM.
  • Create solution documentation covering licensing, architecture, configuration, security policy, inventory, baseline.
  • Build, implement, and document network-enabled applications factoring infrastructure, security, performance, and best practices.
  • Assume responsibility for security controls compliance, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and STIG compliance.
  • Engineer and implement architectural changes in response to future network technology enhancements, customer requirements, security and technical refresh initiatives.
  • Prepare technical documentation whitepapers, briefings, and other required documents to support all engineering and implementation efforts.
  • Lead technical working groups, conduct product evaluations, develop recommendations, and present briefings per DISA enterprise network standards.
  • Ensure all engineering and implementation efforts adhere to DISA and DoD policies and directives from U.S. Cyber Command and Joint Force Headquarters DODIN.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing complex data center and enterprise network infrastructure in multi-vendor environments.
  • DoD 8570.01-M / 8140.01 IAT Level II Certification (Security+, CySA+, etc.).
  • Relevant secondary certification (Cisco, F5, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cloud, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Preferred Skills

  • IT bachelor's degree or Vendor Network Certification (Professional or higher).
  • Strong knowledge of datacenter-based network methods, protocols and technologies including routing, switching, TCP / IP, firewalls, load balancing, SDN / NFV, IAM, network management, structured cabling, and cloud management.
  • Experience with F5 BIG-IP modules (LTM, GTM, APM, ASM) and government systems for operations management (ITSM, GTMS, Ansible, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365).
