Job Description Summary :

Supports OhioHealth hospitals and business units as an educational support liaison, including consulting, instructional design, strategic planning and project management based on educational and development needs.

Insures standardization of education including but not limited to orientation, annual competency assessment, regulatory, accreditation and certification.

Assists in the design of education based on educational standards, evidenced based practice and OhioHealth policy.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree (Required)RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing

  • Years of experience : 1 to 3

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

RN license or license in health related field Nursing degree or other health related field 1 - 3 years Experience with strong communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Serves as an education and development resource for OhioHealth hospitals and business units Acts as liaison to match needs of business unit with resources from Organizational Development Assists in strategic planning of system educational needs.

Manages educational projects as assigned Facilitates centralized educational programs Ensures standardization of education including but not limited to orientation, annual competency assessment, regulatory, accreditation and certification, and management and associate development.

Assists in the design of education based on educational standards, evidenced based practice and OhioHealth policy. 1. Education

a. Applies principles of educational processes which include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of program development and management.

B. Utilizes adult learning principles in the development and facilitation of educational programs. c. Communicates the impact of educational outcomes to department leadership.

D. Utilizes best practices and learning trends in program design. E. Reviews and evaluates educational content to ensure it is in alignment with clinical evidence-based practice.

F. Works with leadership to develop educational plans that align with organizational strategies and need. G. Facilitates educational programs to promote job performance, organizational outcomes, and professional development.

H. Collaborates with system educators and team members to achieve the department's educational goals. 2. Project Management

a. Manages projects : determines needs, adheres to allotted resources, maintains project timelines and generates progress reports as requested.

Prioritizes and delegates work of others on the team. B. Identifies the need for additional tools and resources that will enable the development of creative solutions for projects / problems.

C. Works through leadership to negotiate and collaborate with executive sponsors and stakeholders to achieve project success.

D. Adheres to educational principles and guidelines to support achievement of desired outcomes. 3. Leadership

a. Actively participates on committees, councils, administrative teams and process improvement initiatives that impact system initiatives.

B. Participates on committees that impact department initiatives. C. Provides input to strategic committees. d. Promotes and supports the work and relationship s in a matrix environment.

E. Communicates efficiently and effectively with individuals and teams members. F. Precepts new educators throughout the system. 4. Consultation

a. Assesses for educational need. B. Differentiates between education and performance gaps. C. Advocates standardization of education by collaborating with educators across the system.

D. Advocates for solutions that utilize principles of education and effectively address the education gap. 5. Change Management

a. Facilitates and supports change through effective communication. B. Incorporates change management into educational and project planning.

C. Demonstrates positive attitude toward system change. D. Consults with system educators on change processes.
