Position Overview

Position Title : General Urology

Salary Range : The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and / or step.

The base pay range for this position is $260,000- $460,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position Description

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Urology (website) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is recruiting faculty committed to clinical care and education in the Department of Urology.

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for providing high-quality training and teaching and will participate in the clinical care of patients.

The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (required at time of application)

  • Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification / permit as determined by the California Medical Board.
  • Candidates must also be board-certified or board-eligible in Urology and must have completed a Urology residency.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who have completed sub-specialty fellowship training are preferred.
