About the Opportunity
Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Accounts the Assistant Director of Student Accounts will be responsible for assisting with the oversight and management of the Banner Student Accounts Receivable system as well as all related interfaces.
The Assistant Director will assist with developing, maintaining and coordinating of all fee assessment rules, detail codes, payment plans and bill processing for all University academic programs.
He / she will work closely with the 3rd party team to support any system, billing or payment needs. Coordinating with all necessary university partners, entities and systems, the Assistant Director will have oversight of posting all credits, debits, anticipated financial aid, loan disbursements, CashNet and all other transactions that pertain to approximately 2 billion dollars of accounts receivable.
The Assistant Director will be responsible for assisting with system implementations and enhancements as well as adherence to all federal, state and institutional policies, procedures and regulations.
He / she will oversee the creation and delivery of all financial reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc) He / she will also assist with the auto-refund process of over 10,000 refunds per semester.
This includes assisting with creating all necessary Banner system rules, reports, and functions.
The Assistant Director will work with university partners such a Finance, Registrar and other relevant offices to ensure financial compliance with all applicable regulations and that student receivables are met.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3+ years in Student Accounts and Banner Student A / R experience
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Strong project management skills and ability to implement and manage multiple projects
Knowledge of Student A / R performance metrics
Excellent technical skills
