Summary :
We are currently looking fora Design Engineer toworkfor an industry leading manufacturerinPort Orange, FL. In this role, youwillbe supporting the design and developmentof new and updated business, creating designs, collaborating across the business and ensuring product transition from design to manufacturing.
This is a DIRECT HIRE role that is available immediately.
Responsibilities :
- Work to optimizeboth structural and manufacturing designs to meet industry and customer requirements.
- Create 3D models, drawing and simulations for structural components
- Identify necessary materials for structural components taking into consideration all factors
- Work on prototype design and test,making adjustments toensure product meets specifications
- Work within cross-functional teams to help organization hit development goals
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineeringor a related field
- At least 2years experiencein manufacturing design engineering
- Solidworksexperience required
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities (includingstructuraldesign analysis tools such as FEA)
- Comfort with various manufacturing processes including fabrication (machining, welding) and assembly
- Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously
