THE COMPANY

Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.

Yoshinoya America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yoshinoya Holdings, based in Japan. With a history that started in 1899 and more than 2400 stores worldwide, Yoshinoya Holdings has been both leader and innovator in the QSR Japanese segment.

The American subsidiary has over 100 stores (70+ company owned) and is Southern California’s best kept secret.

Yoshinoya America has quietly reinvented itself over the past 4 years under a new leadership team. New brand positioning, menu items, remodels, upgraded systems, and improved execution have resulted in comp-store sales increases of more than 25%.

During the same period, the QSR segment has seen little if any sales growth. Our remaining stores will be remodeled this year as we start to open restaurants in new markets.

Over the next few years, we plan to nearly double the size of the company. Opportunity is knocking! You owe it to yourself to take a closer look at Yoshinoya and use our success as your springboard to new career opportunities

The Opportunity

Our District Managers oversee 6-10 stores with average sales of well over $1 million each. We are expanding in Southern California and anticipate needing additional multi-unit managers to support both new store growth and extensive remodels of our current locations.

Want a sneak peek? Go check out our new Japanese Kitchens in Canoga Park and in LA on La Cienega, and Pico / San Vicente.

You'll be responsible for the operations in each store. You'll start by assessing the current management team and crewmembers and then building effective teams.

You'll need to be an effective Change Agent because we're moving fast but will only be as successful as your people are willing to take you.

You'll also need to be an effective coach and teacher. Last but not least, you'll need to establish a culture of accountability by helping your team overcome obstacles and knowing when to pull the plug on lackluster performers.
