Location : Narberth, PA
Hours : Full-Time, 40 hours per week (8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM)
Grade Levels : 6th & 7th Grade
Student Load : Approximately 23 students
Role : Resource and Push-In Support
Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Narberth, PA. The ideal candidate will hold an active teaching license and be committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide specialized instruction and support to 6th and 7th-grade students both in the resource room and within general education classrooms (push-in model).
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure that each student's educational needs are met.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to support academic growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Qualifications :
- Active teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with middle school students in both resource and push-in settings.
- Strong skills in writing, managing, and implementing IEPs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, individualized education.
