Client Details

Our client is a well-known construction company specializing in Build-to-Suit, Flex / Industrial, Institutional, Distribution Centers, Low-rise Office, Retail, Tenant Interiors, Re-positioning, and Specialty projects.

They manage a variety of projects, primarily valued under $20M, throughout Northern Virginia, the 495 Beltway, and parts of Maryland.

Description

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and daily logs. Prepare regular progress reports for senior project managers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project expenses, assist in budget forecasting, and ensure costs remain within the approved budget.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Ensure all project activities adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations. Conduct safety audits and promptly address any safety concerns.
  • Identify potential project risks and collaborate with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Address and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, including technical challenges, scheduling conflicts, and resource shortages.

Profile

  • Over 2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry
  • Experience with commercial construction projects
  • Proficiency in PlanGrid, Raken, and Bluebeam is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Excellent management skills in effectively handling budgets, schedules, and resources
  • Capable of coordinating and leading diverse teams, including contractors, architects, and engineers
  • Skilled in adapting to changing project requirements and conditions
