6-month contract with extension every 6 months
80 hours of PTO and Paid Holiday over a calendar year
Required Education, Knowledge, skills and Abilities :
Must have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering (prefer focus in Dynamic Systems or Structures).
10 years of experience conducting linear dynamic and nonlinear static analysis on complex dynamic mechanical assemblies
8 plus years of experience using SolidWorks analysis add-in tools, including : Simulation, Motion Analysis, Dynamic Stress Analysis and Flow Simulation
10 plus years' experience developing technical / analysis reports and presentations, excellent interpersonal communication and team work with multi-disciplinary design team
Must be a US Citizen
Dress Code : Business Casual
Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Job Description :
Independently conduct dynamic analysis (linear dynamic, nonlinear static, motion / kinematics, dynamic stress, etc.) on dynamic mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks simulation tools or similar multi-physics software.
Collaborate with mechanical and Powertrain Design Teams to incorporate updates into 3D CAD models (SolidWorks format), iterate dynamic analysis workflows, post-process analysis results, and make design recommendations to team to improve performance of dynamic assemblies.
Provide subject matter expertise to Mechanical and Powertrain Design Teams related to system dynamics analysis and testing, real-world methods to mitigate anomalous dynamic behavior in dynamic assemblies.
