CAD Engineer

Responsibilities :
- Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of physical design flows from synthesis to gdsII.
- Implement automation for backend runs through scripting, post-process logs, and job reruns.
- Collaborate closely with silicon engineering teams to assess and adopt best-in-class EDA tools and methodologies for chips.
- Provide support for third-party EDA software tools and / or in-house scripts utilized by the design team.
- Actively engage with EDA tool vendors to address issues and ensure resolution.
- Conduct training sessions for flow users and address any related issues they encounter.
- Spearhead methodology and flow improvements.
Requirements :
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of industry experience in ASIC Physical Design CAD.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, and TCL.
- Showcase expertise in industry-standard ASIC synthesis, place & route, timing / crosstalk closure, physical verification, and sign-off EDA tools.
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have experience with EDA license management, LSF, equivalent job schedulers, and cloud-based development on AWS, Google Cloud, or similar platforms (a significant advantage).
