Job Summary : CME is looking for a Program Manager who leads, manages, and delivers programs and products to meet commercial and governmental contract requirements across a variety of small to large projects, ranging from R&D to engineering development, production, and test efforts.
These projects span industries including defense and aerospace, heavy equipment and industrial machinery, and power and energy markets.
You will lead teams and be responsible for delivering products and programs on time, within budget, and to performance specifications.
The role involves leading frequent project team meetings and integrated product teams (from kick-off through project close), while working closely with customers.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Program Leadership : Lead, manage, and coordinate all aspects of program delivery from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and performance specifications.
- Team Management : Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to achieve program objectives.
Facilitate regular team meetings, providing clear direction and resolving any issues that arise.
- Customer Liaison : Act as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the program lifecycle.
- Integrated Product Team (IPT) Management : Organize and lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and focused on achieving program goals.
Conduct kick-off meetings, regular reviews, and project closeout sessions.
- Risk Management : Identify, assess, and manage program risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues proactively.
- Cost Control : Monitor program budgets, ensuring all costs are within approved limits. Take corrective actions when necessary to keep programs on budget.
- Schedule Management : Develop and maintain program schedules, tracking progress and adjusting plans as needed to meet delivery timelines.
- Performance Monitoring : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor program progress, ensuring that all deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Contract Compliance : Ensure all program activities comply with contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including ITAR and EAR.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular program status reports to senior management, customers, and other stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives within programs, leveraging lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project performance.
- New Product Development (NPD) : Collaborate with design engineering teams on New Product Development (NPD) efforts, ensuring seamless transition from development to production.
- ERP System Utilization : Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint) to manage program resources, track performance, and support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication : Maintain clear and effective communication with all program stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on program goals and status.
Job Qualifications :
- Experience : 5 years of direct work experience in a program management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution of small to large engineering or manufacturing teams with multiple levels of management.
- Software Proficiency : Proven experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- ERP Systems : Understanding of ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint or similar.
- Engineering & Manufacturing Processes : Understanding of Design Engineering processes and Lean Manufacturing.
- New Product Development (NPD) : Familiarity with New Product Development processes.
Minimum Requirements Needed :
- Education : Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business or Engineering.
- Experience : 5+ years of program management experience; U.S. Government Programs preferred.
- Regulatory Compliance : Positions with CME require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.
