Description :

Position Purpose : To support our customers and Texas Injection Molding manufacturing through training, mentoring and guiding others; ensuring products manufactured by us meet or exceed set standards. Visually inspects, measures, and evaluates products according to customer specification.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods such as calipers and gauges, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
  • Check that assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with our customer and industry standards.
  • Record inspections results by completing reports and inputting data into quality database IQMS ERP system.
  • Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
  • Works alongside production team in validation of Good vs. Reject parts and insures that understanding of acceptable quality levels are provided as needed to each Operator.
  • Drives continuous improvement across molding and secondary departments.

Requirements : Qualifications

Education :

  • High School Education or GED
  • Bilingual
  • Work Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in plastics manufacturing environment preferable in the quality department.
  • Knowledge / Skills and Abilities :

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.
  • Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, caliper, micrometers, and computers.
  • In-depth understanding of company standards
  • Documentation and reporting skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Strong understanding of raw material and the manufacturing industry
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
