About this role

In this role you will be responsible for the execution of key elements of Quality Assurance operational plans. May lead of team of primarily experienced Quality Assurance professionals or a team responsible for Quality Assurance for an organization of small size or scope.

Sets tactical and operational plans in support of continuous quality improvement. Provides guidance in the implementation of Quality Assurance plans and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives lean thinking to create enterprise level value stream management across the organization.
  • Leads the Quality Assurance team in achieving Quality and Company goals and objectives. Models the Quality mindset and provides expertise in driving global standardized programs and processes.
  • Works with VP, Quality to develop strategy, vision, and guiding principles for Continuous Improvement and Supplier Management programs.
  • Acts as the BU liaison for the corporate Carrier Excellence Program.
  • Acts as liaison between Quality, Operations, Technical and Support Services, Engineering, and other teams for escalation and resolution of product and service issues.
  • Oversees the activities and provides supervision to the Quality Assurance staff supporting in-process inspection, relentless root cause analysis and corrective action, Supplier Management, and customer engagement and support.
  • Inspires collaboration and develops strong relationships with employees, partners, and suppliers that result in significant savings, efficiencies, and improvements across key performance indicators.
  • Provides training, mentoring, and guidance to team members in leading CI program events and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma with 10 years of engineering, electronic or quality experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in a Manager / Supervisory role
  • Up to 30% travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include :

  • Bachelors’ degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Quality, Operations or equivalent experience
  • Technical experience with root cause analysis and issue investigation.
  • Proven experience in analytical assessment of field failure indicators and trends.
  • Knowledge of and practical use of SPC including CpK & PpK analysis.
  • Experience and knowledge of GxP, ISO 9001, ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization, partners, and customers.
  • Self-starter; Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office and Visio.
  • Experience working with remote and / or offshore teams.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black or Green belt highly preferred.
  • Experience within a high-volume, low-cost electronics manufacturing environment a plus
