Electrical Assembler l Industrial Automation

We are working with a rapidly expanding organisation in the industrial automation and advanced manufacturing space that is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join their team. This business is at the forefront of automation technology, delivering innovative packaging and assembly solutions to some of the country’s best-known brands.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for the full build and wiring of industrial machinery —from control panels through to installation, testing, and commissioning. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to work with next-generation automation systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire low-voltage control panels using electrical schematics.
  • Modify enclosures, drill / tap backplanes, and install electrical components.
  • Carry out continuity, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and operational testing.
  • Support commissioning : powering up systems, verifying performance, and troubleshooting.

Ideal background

  • Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals (AC / DC, protection devices, wiring).
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring and piping schematics.
  • Mechanically inclined; comfortable with light sheet metal work.
  • Experience troubleshooting pumps, valves, instrumentation, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Desirables :

    Background in UL 508A panel shop or industrial control panel assembly.

    Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC / WHMA-A-620, UL698A .

    Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, DTM, or E3 .

    Exposure to FAT / SAT testing environments .

    Ability to load / test PLC programs during commissioning.
