Overview
Warehouse Sr. Industrial Engineer at Ryder System, Inc. The role drives continuous improvement across warehouse operations, applying Lean, data analytics, engineering, and automation to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Responsibilities
- Collect data and perform statistical analysis to identify process gaps and recommend actions.
- Develop and manage a continuous improvement plan to deliver value and support transformation initiatives.
- Lead and complete continuous improvement and steady-state engineering projects, assessing CI initiatives and supporting go-live and certification activities.
- Apply engineering methodologies and Lean tools such as product slotting, time studies, layouts, and optimization to improve distribution and / or transportation operations.
- Facilitate and execute value stream maps and Kaizen events, coaching process owners on Lean methods to achieve operational excellence.
- Provide regular data reports to measure progress against site objectives and make inventory and supply chain strategy recommendations.

Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the QMS based on established company and industry standards.Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system.Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements.Perform all functions related to Quality Assurance for a start-up or expansion.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain) with five (5) years of related experience in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing; or Master's degree with three (3) years of related experience.Microsoft Office Suite skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).Data visualization and database programming (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, DAX).Experience with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S / Workplace Organization.Core engineering and data analysis functions (slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, metrics).Warehouse design tools (CAD, Slot3D, MOST) and Warehouse Management Systems (Manhattan Scale).Knowledge of material handling solutions and automation types (PIT, racking, conveyor, AS / RS).Knowledge of dedicated services and managed transportation networks.Lean Six Sigma, cPMP, ISO / QMS, APICS or other supply chain logistics certification.Travel

Compensation Information
Pay Type : Salaried
Minimum Pay Range : $95,000
Maximum Pay Range : $105,000
